Our Commitment to Your Health and Safety
We are wholly dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and our customers. We are taking a proactive approach in preventing the spread of coronavirus in our stores and our SEE-OSKS in our communities by strictly complying with local and state guidelines, and adhering to the health and safety recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We want our associates and our customers to feel safe, comfortable, and confident when they are visiting our vision centers and SEE-OSKS. Here is our promise to you.
We are taking the health of both our employees and our customers extremely seriously. In an effort to protect you and your family, as well as our entire team, we are adamantly encouraging our associates to stay at home if they do not feel 100%.
Daily Health and Temperature Screenings
Each and every day before we start work, we screen each associate at the door by asking them a series of health-related questions and we take their temperature. We meticulously log this information to keep a detailed record of our team’s health to help us determine any changes that could signal a potential decline in their health that could put others at risk.
Mandatory Masks and Gloves
We have spent time educating ourselves on how COVID-19 spreads from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets that are produced by coughing and sneezing. Because these droplets can enter the air and land on surfaces where they can stay active, all of our associates are required to wear masks and gloves that meet CDC standards at all times.
The nature of our industry requires us to use our hands when touching and creating eyeglasses, and while interacting with customers in various capacities. That is why we are taking extra precautions by wearing gloves at all times, which we provide our associates to ensure their safety and the safety of our customers. We are also frequently and vigorously washing our hands according to the CDC’s handwashing recommendations to prevent the spread of germs.
Additionally, we ask that our customers do their due diligence by wearing masks when they are in our vision centers or visiting our SEE-OSKS as an added precaution.
Strict Disinfecting and Sanitizing Practices
We recognize the importance of disinfecting and sanitizing any and all surfaces in our stores and SEE-OSKS to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Here are the steps we are taking to maintain optimal hygienic and sanitary conditions at EYEQ.ITY stores and SEE-OSKS:
- We disinfect and sanitize all surfaces, including door handles, countertops, mirrors, chairs, EYEQ-Map vision mapping stations, bathrooms, digital devices, etc.
- We will consistently sanitize and disinfect all eyeglass frames before they are returned to our style sections.
- We will sanitize eyeglass frames with alcohol right before your eyes when you are trying on eyewear.
- We will sanitize all of our measuring devices before each and every use.
Maintaining a Safe Distance
The CDC recommends maintaining a good social distance from others, which is about six feet. Our associates will maintain a safe distance when assisting you, avoiding close contact. We will only hand you a sanitized frame when you are trying on eyewear to maintain safe distances. We will also be mindful of how many customers we let into our store at one time to ensure we can maintain a universal safe distance throughout our stores and around our SEE-OSKS.
Our Commitment to Your Satisfaction
During these trying times, we will maintain our unwavering commitment to your 100% satisfaction. If you don’t absolutely love your glasses, you can exchange or return them.
We’re Committed to You Now and Always
